Itelyum Regeneration undertakes to prevent, minimize, mitigate and compensate the environmental footprint generated by its activities and plays a leading role in the transition to a low-carbon and circular economy.

It actively contributes to the development of feasible practical solutions, collaborating with institutions and other actors that operate responsibly in the related industrial and consumption cycles, promoting the enhancement of alternative resources, the design of sustainable products and the spreading of eco-efficient technologies and management methods.

Circular economy, responsible use of resources, systematic adoption of the best practicable options and effective management systems contribute decisively to the creation of environmental value.

The regeneration of lubricant oils helps protect the environment

Thanks to recycling and the technologies adopted, compared to the primary production, the regenerated lubricant bases generate:

  • half of the CO2 emissions
  • 4 times less fine dust emissions
  • 5 times fewer emissions of acidifiers (NOx, SO2 and NH3)
  • half of the withdrawal of water resources
  • 8 times less soil consumption

Additionally, at least 95% of the treated lubricant oil is transformed into products, returned to the environment as purified water or enhanced by third parties.

Certified Environmental Quality

As evidence of the effectiveness of the Environmental Management adopted, the regeneration plants of Ceccano (FR) and Pieve Fissiraga (LO) maintain   ISO 14001  certification. This approach helps ensure legislative compliance, the quality of internal processes and continuous performance improvement.
