Established in 1963 as Viscolube, after over 50 years of investments and growth, Itelyum Regeneration is the Italian and European sector leader and the trusted supplier of all major lubricant companies. In August 2017, after years of vertical integration in the world of industrial waste collection and management, Viscolube took over Bitolea, expanding its business horizon from the regeneration of used lube oils to the market segments of industrial and pharmaceutical solvents. Together, in April 2019 they created Itelyum, the new mark of the circular economy.
Itelyum Regeneration produces regenerated base oils of quality through a re-refining process, in house developed and patented. Thanks to the most advanced technologies and the managerial excellence, the regeneration plants, located in Pieve Fissiraga (LO) and Ceccano (FR), can treat used oils to produce high-performing and sustainable base oils with chemical-physical characteristics and performance equal or superior to the lube bases deriving from the primary refining of crude oil.
Group I+ and II+ bases produced by Itelyum Regeneration are ideal for the different applications in both the automotive and the industrial sectors, matching the most demanding performance and environmental requirements. The reduced environmental footprint of the regenerated bases, certified by LCA studies and environmental label, adds sustainable value for the market.

Environmental product label
All the Group II+ regenerated base oils obtained REMADE IN ITALY® certification, recognized as the first certification scheme in Italy and Europe to verify the recycled content in products and materials resulting from recycling and reuse. The label explains the environmental impacts resulting from the recycling process in terms of reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and energy saving in comparison with the production of the same item with raw materials. It also attests the traceability of production representing a tool for transparency and simplification qualifying the private market and the legal mandatory requirements of Green Public Procurement regulation.
